master engraver, and brought Joe into his jewelry industry on 47th

| In High School, Joe
enjoyed Art Metal Class. Here, he found his niche. In a competition there, he
designed and made a piece that won the Ford Foundation Award. After High
School, Joe went to Bradley University, where he studied in the Horology
department for engraving, setting, and jewelry making. Next, he went to the
Mechanics Institute for Designing and then attended the Gemological Institute
of America for 4-years. Joe apprenticed with Anton Kun, one of the finest
jewelers in the country, and then, apprenticed, as a model maker, with Jerome
I. Silverman for 2½-years. |

Seeing that
it was time to put his studies to the test, Joe went into business with his
father, who was a very well known hand engraver. When his father past away, Joe
continued the business by himself.

Since 1965,
Joe has been the Jeweler's Jeweler, or
"Surgeon of 47th St.,"
specializing in repairs and restorations for other industry jewelers, museums,
antique dealers, and of course, the public. He has designed and made custom
pendants, necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, etc., in Gold, Silver,
Platinum, etc.

Joe is,
also, the inventor and patent holder of the "Earquilizer®," and a part owner,
Patent Pending, of the "Original Texas Stud
Back." These two, very special products, help to properly support
earrings.
